The question of how many books in the bible is a tough one to answer for some people. Some feel that there is no way to put a number on God and feel that He might not be able to bring His word to every soul on earth at some point in time. Others feel that God is so good that He is able to bring everyone to Christ, yet some feel that God cannot be proven and that there is no way to know if what the Bible says is true.
So, how many books in the bible can you answer? Actually, it all depends on how you want to look at the question. If you want to find out how many books in the bible you will have to take it one step at a time. For example, you will need to look at how many books in the New Testament compared to the Old Testament. Look at how many books in the Old Testament are completely wrong according to the scholars who write about these books. And then you will have to figure out how many books in the New Testament that are completely true.
New Testament
You can find this out in a number of ways. One way is by looking through the New Testament and see just how many mistakes there are. Another way is to take the list of the books from the New Testament and look at how many there are that are absolutely wrong. Then you can see how many contradicting statements there are. The more statements that contradict each other, the more there are that must be true.
Simple mathematical formula
Another method of figuring out how many books in the bible involves a simple mathematical formula. This method uses the total words in the Bible and divides it into the thousand books. Once you do this, you get the number of words in each book. It may be hard to believe, but there really are millions of words in the New Testament. Now you can see how many books the Bible has compared to how many books there actually are. That may shock you a bit.
Another way of figuring out how many books in the bible is to look at how many words the greek translations have. The greek versions of the bible are usually quite a bit longer than the English translations. They also have more words in each word. This may seem odd, but if you look at how many words there are in the Bible, you’ll find that it’s almost exactly the same as the greek version. The only difference is that the Greek version doesn’t put all of those words in each word.
Greek versions of the books
If you want to know how many books in the bible are actually the right number, another method for doing so is to look at how many times the greek versions of the books are repeated throughout the Bible. For example, in the book of Acts, we find many references to the resurrection of Jesus. In the book of Acts, we also find mention of the empty tomb. If the historian Luke was writing after the resurrection, and he wrote the book of Acts, how many books would there have to be for the account of the empty tomb? Obviously, he would not be including all of the letters of Paul since he wrote after the resurrection.
There are many other methods you can use to determine how many books in the bible are actually the correct number. Some people even go so far as to say that there are literally no thousand words in the Bible. They point out that there is no evidence that Jesus existed during the time of the authors of the Bible. This is a very intriguing point, and while it’s true, it doesn’t prove that the Bible isn’t true.
Written by multiple authors
I think most Christians will agree with me when I say that there is more than one person who wrote the books of the Bible. Every book was written by multiple authors. Most of these authors took notes on certain events or words that were written down by others, but it’s impossible to know how many words the authors actually wrote. How many thousands of words in the Bible do you think are possible? Over seventy thousand words, to be exact.
