Therefore, we can not expect them to outdo themselves in the hybrid situation. The DDI’s Global Leadership Forecast tells us that only 20% of managers are prepared to take up the hybrid work challenges of an organization that want to have a productive and engaging hybrid work culture established. They need instant tailored training programs for the managers. By training managers in developing skills required to lead an efficiently hybrid environment, organizations can hope to find success through their new work culture.

Know the Eligibility Criteria

Just like remote work, hybrid work is not for everyone. For example, organizations that deal with electrical, chefs, ballet dancers, surgeons, refuse collectors, and more such workers can not aim to establish a hybrid work culture in the longer run. Organizations need to be absolutely sure about which roles are eligible for the hybrid work model and which are not.

Ensure Technology Support

According to Gartner Forecast, the worldwide spend on technology will increase by 6.2% in 2021. With a high level of investment in technology comes the responsibility of using technology for the best manners. Just because your team has high-speed internet service, has all the platforms like Zoom, Slack, or Microsoft team, it does not mean that they will be more effective at collaboration. Collaboration comes with the right mindset; train your employees into using technology for collaboration and not letting it hinder the teamwork.

Be Inclusive

In a hybrid work culture, people need to make sure that their actions or words do not undermine people who are not present. For example, managers working with the team in the office can often disregard the remote work employees by using a term like “wish you were here.” This can undermine the safety of the employees.
